Makeup Look: Cool Cashmere

I love the look of a shimmery cool eye with a brighter toned pink lipstick and decided to put together this makeup look when I was wearing the new L'Oreal Colour Caresse Lipstick in Pink Cashmere, which I reviewed in my previous post here.  For the eyes, I decided to start off using my Maybelline Color Tattoos in Too Cool as a shimmery white base, and then reached for my Shady Lady by the Balm Vol. 2 palette to complete the eye look.  For the cheeks I kept it bright and rosy to match my lips.



Products Used:
Face: Revlon Colorstay 24 Hour Whipped in 240 Natural Beige
Under eye concealer (a secret! Review will be up this week :D)
Laura Mercier Mineral Powder in Natural Beige
NYX Blush in Taupe as a contour shade
Sally Hansen cream blush in Bloom with Revlon Blushing Berry on top
Maybelline Color Tattoos in Too Cool all over lid
Eyes: Shady Lady Vol. 2 palette: Devilish Danielle all over Lid (shimmery golden champagne) with Insane Jane (shimmery taupe) in the crease and a small amount of Caught In the Act Courtney in the outer v area (a combination of these was also used under the eye).  I used Tempting Tara as a highlight
To blend out the crease I used Tease from the Naked 2 palette (a matte taupe neutral shade) to blend out any harsh lines.
Eyeliner: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Demolition on upper lashline & lower rims.
Lashes: Benefit They're Real
Lips: L'Oreal Colour Caresse in Pink Cashmere applied first, then used Maybelline Lip Liner in Pink along the outer edges.


A Bestie Moment...
I wanted to note a special thank you to some of my wonderful blogging/tweeting besties who were so kind to give me such wonderful comments when I posted this look on Instagram.  It was a Monday and it had been "one of those Mondays"!  Finally that afternoon, I remembered something Tristan (Tristan's Beauty Box) said in her part of the Mother's Day collab video we did that she will put on at least a little makeup each day and it makes her feel great.  Since my day had been crap, I decided to first take photos of some new makeup and then play with it (and then play with my iphone apps!)  I felt so much better and then when I posted it on Instagram and my wonderful friends left such kind comments it made me feel even better!  So thank you sweet loves, for your kind words.  You made me feel great, and you just never really know how much your words mean sometimes! Big hugs to all of you!
