I am so excited to be sharing with you something that I have been wanting to share for over a month. Now, finally that I am ready to announce this, I am a ball of emotions - excited and nervous, very exhausted, but ready!
I began blogging in January 2011 to just share with the world my three passions: beauty, fashion & fitness. Over the past several months I have been increasingly conflicted and felt a little too stretched in all three directions on my blog. At the beginning of the summer I tried to keep up with all three subjects on my blog but found it overwhelming. I then decided to focus on beauty reviews to see what would happen and I really began to see my passion for beauty reviews and photography grow. I am a person who wants to continually improve, make goals and meet those goals. Because of all of this I have decided to focus on one aspect of blogging. It was a hard decision, and one that took me nearly two weeks to come to but after a month now I am finally ready to announce to you my new beauty blog:
VanityRouge is a beauty review site featuring intense product reviews with lots of high quality photos, videos, and beauty news to help you make all of your intense beauty decisions! My new blog is self-hosted and is operates through Wordpress.org. Because of this, I will no longer have "followers" as I do currently on Blogger. However, I do have an easy way for you to follow me through subscribing to my RSS feed, subscribing by email, or you can simply add my blog url to your Google Reader to keep up with my daily posts. I plan on producing more posts each day on a variety of products. I want to deliver clear and concise reviews and video reviews for my readers and viewers.
If you wonder if I will "lose my voice" as I strive to deliver professional reviews, I had also thought about this. I will have a section on my new blog titled
"Beyond the Rouge" that I will reserve for occasional behind the scenes updates on my life. (I really love to express myself through writing, so as soon as I get a schedule going I will work that in as well). I will exclude
Beyond the Rouge those from my RSS feed, so if you wish to visit those posts on my site there is a spot for them as well! Also, please know that fitness and fashion is still a major part of my life. I still exercise regularly, set goals and want to maintain my muscles, baby! I came to a crossroads earlier this summer in trying to figure out which of my three passions in life I wanted to focus on. I had considered going to school to become a fitness trainer and/or a nutritionist because I am very passionate about health and wellness. In the end, however, I could not ignore that I am artistically wired (I was a singer and piano player for many years into adulthood, my next passion was interior design, and then photography.). Now I look at product review and photography as something that cannot only be a passion, but something that I can be successful in doing. I have many improvements and goals to reach, but I am determined and now that I have said it, I will do it!
I appreciate so much all of you who take the time to read my blog, interact with me, assist me with my beauty decisions and make me even more passionate about sharing beauty with the world. The first beauty blogger I interacted with was Amber, from LipGlossandFlipFlops. Before that time I had no idea how to interact with other bloggers or how much fun it could be! From there I met, Tristan from TristansBeautyBox, Janna from Gloss&Glitz, Lisa from MsPrettyfulGirl, and the list goes on and on. You
all have been such an inspiration and encouragement to me in the blogging world, and I know our relationship will continue to thrive even through this change. Every one of my readers and fellow bloggers are all so near and dear to my heart. I look forward to chatting it up with you over on my new site, where of course we will still all be BFF's! ;)

- What about your YouTube Channel, BeautyFashionFitness? I will continue to make videos on that channel, but it will consist of beauty hauls, beauty tags, get ready with me videos, fashion hauls and fitness favorites videos. It will and may contain occasional goofy behavior (kind of a "let your hair down" channel to an extent) ;). I have opened a new YouTube channel (VanityRouge) that will be strictly for beauty reviews and monthly favorites videos. In this way, it coincides with what I want to do on my blog. Please subscribe over there if you want to - I will have my first video up hopefully very soon!)
- What about Twitter? If you currently follow me on Twitter then you don't need to do anything! You will see that I have a new handle: @Vanity_Rouge, so when you see tweets from my face with that name it is me! :)
- What about Facebook? I changed the name of my Facebook Page to VanityRougeBeauty. Again, if you already liked me on my previous Facebook page then you won't need to do anything - just be aware when you see Vanity Rouge Beauty posting to your page, that is me! :) If you haven't liked me yet then please do - I would love to see you over there! :)
- What about YourBeautyFashionFitness.com? I am currently transferring over my favorite posts, so you will be seeing some of them disappear from my current site very soon, and then after awhile I will be forwarding this blog url directly to VanityRouge.com. I will still have access to YourBeautyFashionFitness, so I can view it and access to all of the old posts, but the website will just be redirected.
In a way, it is like I am starting over, but I am very excited about all of this change and feel very satisfied with all of the work I've been pouring into it, that it makes it all worth it! :)
